I didn’t know what to expect of that trip, but in that year when time stopped, when the floor fell out, everything was insane and dreamlike.

This was a love letter to Tokyo, the place that refracted my grief through a number of surreal encounters: a stranger helps me navigate a network of skywalks to find a metabolist tower; an elderly architect seemingly from another time draws a map on the back of a bar receipt; a walk in a long, narrow alley leads to hidden districts in my subconscious and a correspondence across dimensions.
